Im currently an administration for this group and i get alot of complaints and questions like- what is real quality and what's not -
latly people are submitting in art that is not related to that particular gallery or the quaulity that is being allowed in isn't supposed to be there. constantly i have to delete art from folders, organize and rearrange art to their correct galleries.
this is quality pokemon art- quality- if has been photo shopped, traced or doesn't meet quality standards- it does not belong here!
in an effort to fix this im posting this to help people understand what quality is
*please don't take anything i say as offense but mere criteria to maybe help you aim for better work in the future*
the color for the pokemon alone in glaceon and eevee is fine- however the characters themselves lack quality- “off key” perhaps you might say - and example of bad –good- better -best in order
but with a very good background
the same can apply for eevee in same order
in this piece the artist has applied the right amount of color and balance as well as simplicity- the characters are anomaly correct and look more professional though I do not like their use of material- had it simply been more of digital color or simply pencil it would look better- but this will not go into featured!
in this piece the artist kept the plate clean and simple—also anomaly correct and professional looking. but not featured.
in this piece mewtwo is off balance and it looks blurry and messy with hardly a sense of order- if you cleaned it up ( example: outline the character like and it would make it look cleaner and not like mewtwo is fading into the background- the eyes- are great and so is the lighting- just make mew pop out more- use the background colors to your advantage- use colors like green or orange to complement the character’s color- the position mewtwo is in looks like a child might have drawn it-
see how the artist used green to accent the purple? And the emotion in the posture of the character?
this would be featured
here the artist used simple shading like your character but cleaned it up to make it look and feel clean- the posture in this piece shows he is balanced and color again complements the character and makes him the center of attention. this would not be featured.
Please don’t take offense to what I have said- but try to use it to an advantage
